WHO WE ARE
In 2006, various providers of services to adults and children with developmental disabilities decided to come together and form an organization that would represent the collective interests of the providers and the people that we serve. Our group, called the State of Nevada Association of Providers (“SNAP”), includes providers in northern, southern, rural and urban Nevada. As of today, we proudly serve thousands of adults and children with a myriad and always-unique individual challenges.
WHAT WE DO
- We help the people we serve become and remain independent and indispensable members our communities by assisting them with their housing, social, medical, and job-related needs. Our services range from occupational training to supported living arrangements.
- We employ thousands of people in various capacities to help meet the needs of the people we serve.
- We are an active and reliable resource for state and local elected officials, regulators, and other stakeholders when it comes to issues related to developmental disabilities and mental health.
OUR FUTURE
SNAP members are excited about the future, and we are proud of what we have been able to accomplish in partnership with state and local governments. Through our various efforts we will continue to advocate for the betterment of the individuals we serve and the employees who provide support.
